Design, comfort, and functionality were the key themes of Milano Bedding’s Design Week.

The company presented the new Rufus sofa bed, designed by Christophe Pillet, along with two new versions of the best-selling Clarke: Clarke Twin, featuring a second pull-out bed, and Clarke Cross, designed for crosswise sleeping.

Rufus is a sofa bed that stands out for its modern and minimal line, with an original design. Its low frame, almost touching the floor, is an innovative feature for convertible sofas that gives it an elegant and sober look, perfect for contemporary design environments. Despite its limited height, the sofa easily converts into a spacious bed, thanks to a practical and silent Lampolet mechanism, which allows you to extract a thin but comfortable mattress, 200 cm long; the deep seat with a single cushion accentuates the feeling of comfort, inviting you to relax. The combination of aesthetics and functionality makes it ideal for those looking for a versatile sleeper sofa without sacrificing comfort and style. The model comes in a fixed sofa, sofa bed and with a chaise longue with generous proportions, combining elegance, functionality and comfort, thanks to a careful choice of materials. The numerous fully removable covers, in fabric and leather, allow Rufus to be adapted to different environments, residential or contract.

Clarke Cross, is a sofa bed featuring the informal ‘ruffled’ appearance of the Clarke cover and visible

stitching, incorporating a timeless elegance with the functionality of transforming into a bed. Thanks to the Lampolet mechanism with cross-sleeping, Clarke Cross offers the perfect solution for those who want a sophisticated and practical piece of furniture that

can occupy, when open, a smaller space than sofa beds with a traditional sleeping position. The crosssleeping is obtained through the easy rotation of the backrest, without removing any of the cushions. Ideal for environments with limited space, the model is a perfect balance of aesthetics and functionality and guarantees maximum comfort when both sitting and sleeping. The fabric or leather cover is completely removable. Clarke Cross is also available in the fixed version and can be disassembled for easy transport.

Clarke Twin is a sofa bed that features a “skirt-style” cover and visible stitching. An informal model, with a romantic look, that adds functionality to the living room. Finished with elegant details, this sofa bed stands out for both the charm of its “lived-in” look and its versatility. The Lampolet mechanism, with a simple forward movement of the seat and without removing the backrest cushions, transforms the Clarke Twin into a single bed or, if desired, into adouble bed with an electro-welded mesh base. The second pull-out bed is discreetly hidden under the seat and can be converted, when necessary, into a comfortable extra space for any guests. The fabric or leather cover is completely removable. Clarke Twin can be disassembled for easy transport.
