At Edra, the focus is on material, not fabrics. This is because every component—from the leather to the yarn, from the internal structure to the external surface—is part of the design, part of the concept. Edra models, often characterized by complex movements, adjustable backrests, and the Intelligent Cushion, require high-performance upholstery. The materials are therefore designed to meet mechanical, dynamic, and aesthetic requirements. Unique combinations of colors, yarns, textures, and treatments create surfaces that can adapt to sculptural, organic, and complex models.

Research on materials has always been ongoing. It continues with Gems, Glossy Matt, Every stone. It is our way of looking at beauty, which is often there, before our eyes. Look and see beyond. Nature is an infinite source of inspiration. Material is a marvellous world to explore.

Gems

Collection

A collection of nine materials inspired by the pure beauty of precious stones. Gems is a homage to nature: each texture is three-dimensional, each material has a weight and consistency that changes, each colour comes alive with unexpected depths due to the presence of glittering yarns. From the immaculate purity of Moonstone to the saturated green of Malachite, from the liquid azure of Chalcedony to the shimmering gold and brown of Tiger's Eye. The intense and vivid orange of Carnelian, the transparent layered grey of Botswana Agate, the subtle tone on tone of Grey Sapphire. And again: the deep bronzed black of Jasper, the nocturnal monochrome of Black Tourmaline. A precious palette exalting the lines, geometries, softness and movements of Edra sofas and armchairs.

Glossy Matt

Two souls in a single material. A soft chenille, luminous and generous. A pure wool bouclé, compact and natural. Two yarns with opposite characteristics, intertwined in an outsize weave generating a visual effect without precedent: shiny and opaque, full and nuanced. Glossy Matt is a balance of contrasts: a material with a depth of colour given with nuances and juxtapositions of tone-on-tone ranging from delicate neutrals to intense reds, deep greens to darker shades. A material that enhances the timeless elegance of Edra models in new ways.

Every Stone

Collection

Every Stone is inspired by the refinement of marble in a collection designed for outdoors, resistant to light and weather but perfectly capable of inhabiting interior spaces. The irregular three-dimensional material highlights the stone's typical varying shades. Nine variants range from Carrara Statuary White to Delicate Cream with nuances of beige, from a warm golden Royal Yellow to deep Imperial Red. And again: from Alpine Green, bright as a sunlit meadow, to Amazonite's many sea transparencies, turquoise Aquamarine, Savoy Blue, and dark Nero Marquinia veined with silver. Proposed in combination with outdoor versions of On the Rocks, Sherazade and Standard, Every Stone is a material that crosses over: elegant, solid and universal.

Cicladi

Each piece is unique, each table-top unrepeatable. Cicladi is a series of alabaster side tables proposed this year in the colours gold and cornelian. Cicladi tables are obtained from naturally occurring nodules that determine their ever-different form and dimension. The models are defined by an irregular outline and the veining often found in this material, typical of the Volterra area. Cicladi bases are proposed in three different heights, in the colours gold, palladium and ruthenium.
