BAROVIER&TOSO

ALCHEMIC JEWELS

Barovier&Toso celebrated seven centuries of glassmaking craftsmanship through an exhibition itinerary, curated by Nichetto Studio, which unfolded in Euroluce.

The project recounted the excellence of Murano glass through scenographic installations and the presentation of new collections.

The concept of Barovier & Toso’s stand at Euroluce, designed by Nichetto Studio, draws inspiration from Venetian architecture. Venice, the symbolic city from which everything originates, is not only a physical place but a continuous source of inspiration, a starting point to tell the story of the evolution of glass: from shapeless organic matter, shaped by fire, water, and air, to becoming, thanks to the wisdom of master glassmakers, an artifact with precise and extraordinarily refined shapes. Venice, with its water reflections and unique light, is the brand’s eternal muse. The elements of the booth recall this inspiration: surfaces that play with transparency, shapes that evoke the organic elegance of glass in its malleability, and installations that celebrate glass as art.

The goal is to transform each space into a visual narrative, from gallery to museum, offering a journey through the brand’s history and craftsmanship excellence. The stand is divided into three main areas: the outdoor portico, inspired by the Procuratie of St. Mark’s Square, with modular light installations, a gallery dedicated to the brand’s new collections and most iconic products, and a meeting room designed for exclusive meetings and presentations.

The outdoor space, conceived as a large portico, welcomes visitors to an area reminiscent of ancient artisan workshops, allowing a direct view of Barovier&Toso creations even from the outside. The flooring, with black-and-white squared patterns, is inspired by the typical decorations of Italian piazzas, and Venice in particular. Walking around the booth's perimeter, one can admire the five iconic display cases.

AGAVE

Among the main new products, Barovier&Toso presents three new collections. Agave, born from a collaboration with Garcìa Cumini, takes the fluid and harmonious lines of the plant of the same name and transforms them into sophisticated light suspensions. Its iconic elongated leaf recalls Barovier&Toso’s glassmaking tradition and is enriched by the dew technique, which enhances its brilliance and three-dimensional texture.

MIDTOWN

Midtown (design Barovier&Toso) is inspired by early 20th-century architecture and Manhattan skyscrapers of the 1920s and 1930s. The design is distinguished by a disjointed geometry created by the juxtaposition of plates of crystal of different sizes, made of plate. The surfaces have vertical and horizontal grooves, giving the crystal a ridged texture that can preserve the intensity of the light source with a slight diffused effect.

WEBB

Finally, Webb (design Barovier&Toso), which revolves around the hexagonal, diamond-tipped Venetian crystal base module embellished with the dew technique capable of giving the crystal an irregular texture, introducing new compositional possibilities thanks to backlit elements that enhance the versatility of the design.

Barovier&Toso brings its vision of bespoke and its ability to create custom installations to the Salone del Mobile. The star of the reception will be Nebula, a majestic installation composed of curved glass plates with different finishes, forming a wave of light that extends to the floor. Present in the booth, Aspen and Icaro tell the poetic language of light and matter: the former, an evocation of crystalline leaves dancing in the air, is composed of five lobes radiating from the center of each crystal leaf, hinting at natural ripples; the latter recalls a dynamic play of feathers in motion, in which transparencies and chromatics create unique effects.

In addition, Barovier&Toso strengthens brand communication through tools designed for industry professionals, including a technical Workbook catalog, the Highlights volume, which collects bestsellers and new releases.
